Choosing a Crate

  • 42-inch for adult huskies
  • Use divider for puppies

Steps

Day 1-3

Crate in living area, door open, toss treats inside.

Day 4-7

Feed meals inside, then close door during meals.

Week 2

Close door 5-10 minutes after meals. Stay in room.

Week 3-4

Leave room. Start 15 min, build to 1-2 hours.

Rules

  • Never use as punishment
  • Max 4 hours for adults
  • Puppies: 1 hour per month of age
